CAPE Business Network supports MERR

October 13, 2011

The CAPE Business Network made a generous donation to MERR the morning of October 12th, at IHOP on Rt 1 in Rehoboth, DE.  Peggi Hurley presented the check to Suzanne Thurman representing the Marine Education, Research & Rehabilitation Institute, Inc.  In addition to supporting one another and their respective businesses, members of the CAPE Business Network subscribe to a mission statement that emphasizes aiding the community through active involvement with local charitable organizations.  The Network wished to support MERR, which provides rescue and response to stranded marine mammals and sea turtles occurring in DE, since 2000.  In the 11 years since it’s inception, MERR has provided stranding response for over 1100 animals, and served more than 100,000 people with their education programs.  MERR has over 100 volunteers who assist us in providing this service to our community.

CAPE Business Network supports DE Hospice

July 11, 2011

The CAPE Business Network made a generous donation to Delaware Hospice the morning of July 6th, at IHOP on Rt. 1 in Rehoboth, DE. Donna Zetts presented the check to Peggy Dolby and Allen Morris Representing Delaware Hospice. In addition to supporting one another and their respective businesses, members of the CAPE Business Network subscribe to a mission statement, which emphasizes aiding the community through active involvement with local charitable organizations. The Network wished to support Delaware Hospice because of the help they give to families and to people that are transitioning from this life. They offer Care in the Home, at the Delaware Hospice Center, at Facilities, Family Support, Coping with Serious Illness and Camp New Hope for children and teens to 17 years of age.

CAPE Business Network supports Georgetown SPCA

January 24, 2011.

The CAPE Business Network donated funds and pet food, pet toys and other various items to the Georgetown SPCA, during their meeting on January 5th, 2011. This is a continuing Community Donation that is given Quarterly to a cause the Business Network Members vote on. In addition to supporting one another and their respective businesses, members of CAPE Business Network subscribe to a mission statement, which emphasizes aiding the community through active involvement with local charitable organizations. October 8, 2010.

The Cape Business Network donated funds to the Delaware Humane Association at Barista Cafe the morning of September 29th. In addition to the cash donation, food, toys, paper towels, towels, blankets, and cleaning supplies were donated. In addition to supporting one another and their respective businesses, members of the CAPE Business Network subscribe to a mission statement, which emphasizes aiding the community through active involvement with local charitable organizations. The Network wished to support the Delaware Humane Association and recognize the efforts of its many volunteers. CAPE Business Network supports New Beginnings

June 9, 2010.

Members of The Cape Business vistied the New Beginnings school in West Rehoboth where they donated supplies, toys, a fruit basket and funds for the children of this facility. We had the opportunity to meet Miss Brenda who gave us a guided tour of the facility. Present were Miss Brenda, Bryan Hecksher, Jane Cluesman, Stanley Silverblatt, Greer Maneval, Barbara Brittingham, Peggi Hurley, Debby Quinn, Bobbi Berry and Dave Koster. Thanks to all who had the good fortune to share this experience.

CAPE Business Network supports Lewes Fire Co

May 27, 2009.

Cape Business Network President Bryan Hecksher and members of the organization presented a cash donation to the Lewes Fire Department. President Craig Stephens, Lewes Fire Department, accepted the donation for their new fire boat at The Auto Gallery on Savannah Road. Fire Chief, Henry Baynum, honored them with a visit of the Station 82 fire truck. Cape Business Network believes in supporting the local community in a variety of ways. In addition to currently collecting canned food for several local organizations that help to feed local people on a regular basis, they will be presenting a similar donation to our local Meals on Wheels.
